Some wedding couples are very hopeful people when it comes to their wedding list. 1 in 4 couples don’t like what they get whilst 1 in 5 flog their gifts at car boot sales. Over 70,000 couples exchange their gifts in British stores every year and a third hide ugly pressies in the attic or only bring them out when the gifter visits.
The worst possible gifts that couples don’t want to receive are fondue sets, teas maid, wine decanters, his’n’hers towelling robes and picnic hampers finds a survey by Amazon. But what do some very hopeful couples ask for?
The top 5 gifts couples want are
- flat screen TVs
his’n’hers iPods or DAB radios
DVD player and recorder
glossy coffee table books or DVD/CD libraries
But some couples are just that little bit more aspirational. Other requested gifts, finds a recent survey, have included a porsche, an apartment in London’s Butlers Wharf, a tandem skydiver and a, er… life size cut out of David Hasslehoff.
