We’re moving from spring to summer and with that comes a whole slew of bridal disasters on TV, wedding themed books and of course, cute Brit flicks like mockumentary ‘Confetti‘. Starring Martin Freeman and Jessica Stevenson, the basic idea is that three couples compete in a ‘wackiest wedding’ competition in the hopes of winning a house. The final couples are a tennis pair, a naked couple and musical enthusiasts but who gets the grand prize?
There wasn’t a script – everything was adlibbed except for the musical scenes.
Cakes for all the weddings were provided by Maisie Fantaisie
The naked wedding was filmed in Spielplatz the UK’s oldest naturist park (it is known as Summerland in the film).
Writer and director Debbie Isitt was inspired by watching her sister plan her wedding.
Confetti was the first film to receive funding from Screen West Midlands Film and Media Production Fund.
