Make your own cards

HobbycraftIf you fancy making your own cards then Hobbycraft have easy to follow guidelines for anyone to follow. I could write reams on all the things crafty minded people could knock together with a bit of card, ribbon and feather from here but I think I should probably stick to the stationery for now. I picked out the ribbon design (pictured here) purely for it's simplicity. What could go wrong with it?

Instructions and my tips after the turn.

You will need: blank pearlised square card, 6mm wide ribon, coloured paper, scissors. Optional: outline stickers.

Instructions:

1. Cut a long length of 6mm wide ribbon and wrap around a closed square card blank (like you would when wrapping a gift.) Tie the ribbon in a bow at the centre front of the card.

2. Either print a message onto a piece of paper and cut it out and stick it to the top right hand side of the card, or add a personal message using outline stickers.

My tips:
*Use two colours of ribbon in place of one.
*Print your invitation onto coloured paper and place inside. Play about with the fonts and colours and compare a few different styles.
*Don't use a sticker on the front cover, print directly onto the card.
