Yay or Nay Wednesday

YaynayjcrewWell, after the Yay or Nay last week, I think we can safely rule out the trouser suit idea for now (not to mention the naffest hair do this side of the eighties!) I’m keen to hear what you think of this week’s offering – the dress certainly ticks some of the right boxes – it has this season’s sash waist detail in gold and a simple silhouette. My big concern is that it is linen and we all know what a potential nightmare that can be unless you are a fan of the crumpled look. Is it a Yay or Nay and why?

Hmmm, I like the style – I can see it being popular with someone who wants a simple wedding. I agree with you about the linen though, think its best suited to someone who plans not to sit down all day! I’m really torn as to whether its a yay or a nay, think though it has to be a nay – who wants to spend their big day worried about creases!?

  • This does appeal to me…I say yay!

  • Total Yay! It’s lovely — simple and elegant. Maybe it’s the perfect dress for a tropical wedding: the humidity will take the wrinkles out!

I can’t see myself wearing such fabric for my big day, and the dress is a bit boring.

  • It’s not a bad dress, but I definitely wouldn’t choose it for my wedding. There’s simple and then there’s boring. You only (fingers crossed) get one big day and I’d want something a bit more special. I’m giving it a Yay though, if only because it’s not offensive in any way!

  • Yay..very pretty and simple. Not my style though.

I say nay, I just can’t see anyone wearing linen on their wedding day!

love the style, not so sure on the fabric…yay.

Not for me, but I see it for someone who wants a simple wedding in a small chapel with only close family invited, then honeymooning in Paris for the weekend. Cheap and chic.

This is a YAY from me. It has the potential to be anything you want it to be. With the help of some amazing shoes, a veil/head piece of some sort, sparkly jewellery, perhaps a lacey capelet? Gorgeous accessories would work wonders on this dress.

This is exactly the kind of dress I’m looking for – simple, no train, informal, but not a beach dress. Designer info please??!!
