We all love to treat our friends to something nice so what better occasion to lay treats on your bridesmaids for their fab job than at your wedding.
I’ve put together a few ideas for a great gift bag stuffed full of treasures that can be mixed and matched to individual tastes. It makes sense to start with a multi functional tote bag or a big straw summer bag like this one from Topshop to cart their haul home and I’ve included options for both our UK and US readers…
The bag – UK: Get your bridesmaid’s summer hols off to a good start with a straw basket that can fit in all her stuff £18 at Topshop US: Pick up a mini tote at JCrew in British khaki. Made from cotton canvas, it has great baby pink detail. On sale at $29.50.
Purse – Everyone needs a purse to flash when they whip out their cash! UK: pick a funky fabric purse from up-and-coming British designer Carla Beeby from £12 (left) US: Pick up a cute handcrafted coin purse at A Susi from $12, right ‘Flora’
Bracelet - You probably all know one girl like this – she’ll lust after a gorgeous piece of jewellery but will never justify treating herself. UK: Bracelet is by EB by Erickson Beamon, £20 at Debenhams – ultra pretty and still doesn’t break the bank of you! US: personalise this Swarovski crystal friendship bracelet by picking out your bridesmaid’s favourite colour and adding her initial on to the charm $22 at shopforbridal.com
Beauty – A great beauty kit is a treat for all ages of bridesmaids and Benefit does fabulously girly pots and potions for bridesmaids both sides of the ponds. UK: Look Me Up and Comb Me Over palette with eyeshadow, lip gloss and blusher £16.50 at Boots US: Gorgeous Georgia palette with lip cream, two eyeshadows and blusher $28 at Benefit
Read – Find some great wedding novels and DVDs that will make you positively sound like a fairy princess even during your bridezilla moments or put in the new CD from her favourite artist so she has some great sounds to relax to. Check out Amazon UK/ Amazon US for ideas. I’ve picked out The Wedding DVD pack, songstress Nerina Pallot’s ‘Fires’ CD and ‘Altar Ego’ by Kathy Lette.

Thats a great gift bag, I’d be happy with it if I was a bridesmaid.
