Second Weddings for one or both partners amount to around 40% of weddings taking place today in the UK (in the US that is 2.4 million US weddings, of which 43% are seconds). Along with that comes a minefield of etiquette covering religious requirements -some churches won’t allow remarriages due to divorce – should you wear white, is it ok to have a big, extravagent day and how do you break the news to your children?
Of course, most of it can be summed up with do what you think is right. Why should you have a small informal do when you are delighted to be remarrying and why shouldn’t you wear whatever you please?
