Yay or Nay Wednesday

Yaynay15novI can’t say I’m surprised by your comments at all last week in response to that very odd double frilled hem dress from Angel Sanchez. It got a unanimous ‘yuck’ so it just goes to show that designer isn’t always better than off the peg.

I’m curious as to what you’ll think about this dress. There’s no denying it looks adorably cute in the picture. The silk organza dress is trimmed with hand rolled and knotted flowers at the hem but is it a modern take on 50s styling or is too informal for a wedding?

  • YAY! Absolutely gorgeous 🙂

  • MacKenzie

Yay! I really want to wear a dress just like this. It’s so fantastic and playful.

  • Lulu

Hmm, I’m going to have to say nay mostly due to the length. If the model was standing up straight, I think you’d actually be able to see her knees; very unladylike! =)

  • This would be great for an outdoor wedding if the weather was warm enough.

  • Clarissa

Nay- While it is adorable, I think it looks too much like a little girl’s play dress to be appropriate for even a very casual wedding.

  • Mindy

Yay. Not every wedding is formal. This would be a fun dress for an informal outdoor wedding.

  • Yay. Cute for an informal, Summer wedding. I love that she has bare feet, too. I can see it working for an earthy, low-key garden wedding.

  • Mirym K

Yay! Terribly cute! I agree with Gemma – I like the bare feet.

  • Yay, but only for brides under, say, 30. Otherwise it looks too young for the bride.

    I’d wear it!
