I’ve mentioned one of Jessica McClinktock’s black sash wedding dresses before but the skinny ribbon on that aforementioned dress pales into insignificance when compared to the huge lace sash on this one. The sash is black which went through a period of being immesasurably cool at weddings a while back but these days I’d be tempted to take it to a dressmaker and switch it to any other colour.
Having said that, it’s a lovely shaped dress and you could quite easily buy black shoes saving you the bother of dying or not using a white pair. If you want it, it’s $188 at Nordstrom.
