Plum Sykes and the recycled wedding dress?
Remember the times I've mentioned don't wear your own wedding dress to someone else's wedding (most recently in our Christmas Top 50 countdown), well, the fugulous Go Fug Yourself girls mentioned the British Sykes sisters last Friday. They are, of course, Vogue writer and Bergdorf Blondes author Plum Sykes and her designer twin sister Lucy.
The Fuggers reminded me of a story I seem to remember hearing an age ago... After a rather horrid break-up, Plum dyed her unused wedding dress black and promptly wore it to her sister's nuptials. Of course, she did change the colour (but black?) and some sources say the story isn't true but lets say it is true, is this a clever reworking of what would be an otherwise unworn gown or bad taste? Would you do it?
