Sometimes there’s so much focus on the bride’s dress at a wedding that the poor old groom gets forgotten about. This week my fiance, Terry, has been off choosing his suit, and given that this is his second trip to try on different "groom" clothes, I think we can safely say he’s being almost as particular about his clothes as I was. Almost…
Terry’s going for a traditional morning suit from Moss Brothers, which has come as a bit of a surprise to some of our family, who had assumed that, as we’re Scottish, he’d be wearing a kilt. Not all Scottish weddings involve Highland dress, though, and Terry feels more comfortable in trousers, so a morning suit it is.
His best man will wear the same suit, although with a different coloured waistcoat, and we’re leaving up to the rest of the men in the wedding party to decide whether they’d like to hire a morning suit too, or wear something of their own. I suspect my dad and Terry’s stepfather will probably go for morning suits too – oh, and our little page boy, who’ll probably out-cute everyone else in his.
What’s your groom wearing to your wedding?
