While Saturday has long been the most popular day of the week to get married, recently I’ve noticed an increase in the number of people choosing to get married during the week instead. It makes a lot of sense: most venues charge extra for a weekend wedding, and if you’re on a budget, choosing to say your vows on a Friday, or even a Wednesday or Thursday could be a good way to cut the costs.
The big problem with week day weddings, though, is that although they can be both cheaper and easier for the couple getting married, the same can’t always be said for their guests, who may be forced to take time off work – or miss the wedding altogether if that’s not possible. For this reason we’re sticking with the traditional Saturday wedding, plus the extra expense it entails. What about you? What day of the week will you be getting married on?
