Best and worst wedding dresses – part 2

Best2_1Jim Hjelm’s silk satin halter neck dress is another long standing favourite. The silhouette of the dress is so beautiful with the neat bust, curvy waist and long flowing skirt. Whilst it’s shown in white, other colours include blush, ivory or antique.

The detailing on the raised waist has saved it from being too plain though with a lightly shirred fabric. The bonus is whether you want to dress it up with colour, with a tiara and veil, flowers in your hair or classic pearls, every single style works with it.

Of course, where there is a fabulous dress, there is it’s equally hideous counterpart and this one was seen on a catwalk last year. And no, not as a joke either. Frock Horror 21 saw fit to co-ordinate a long tulip skirt, translucent shrug, single shoulder ruffle, gloves and shboots. I saw fit to laugh at it. Alot.
