Get the Look: Boleros

By admin on February 19th, 2007 1 comment

It can be really difficult to find at wedding gown that isn’t strapless at the moment: good news for those who love the look, but not so great for anyone who’d like to stay a little more covered up on their wedding days. For those who love the look, but would rather be a little more covered up than a strapless dress allows, a bolero can be a great alternative to a dress with sleeves. The first dress in the picture above is by Justin Alexander, and uses a classic, high necked bolero jacket to create a rather regal looking outfit. Enzoani’s lace topped dress, meanwhile, is complimented by a long-sleeves lace bolero which will cover your arms and neck without losing the delicate look of the dress. Finally, Chia Lieu’s dress uses one of the other big looks of the past year – the sash – and combines it with a lace jacket for a modern look.

Yay for boleros, I’ve got one which I’m going to wear at the ceremony and whip off later on for dancing. Lorna by Pronovias.
