I'm a big fan of Vera Wang (so much so that I picked one of her dresses for my own wedding), but I have to admit to being a little disappointed by her Spring 07 runway collection. This was undoubtedly a very romantic collection, with lots of billowing, wispy chiffon, but I'm not sure how flattering the rather shapeless styles would look in real life. Vera has made a lot of use of the empire line dresses which have been filling the stores for months now, and it can be a very difficult shape to pull off, making even the thinnest girls look shapeless. Of course, that's just my opinion: what does everyone else think?

I have to agree - not so flattering. The one on the left looks like a bed-skirt to me.
I have to agree as well - they don't even look so good on the models, so not much hope for the rest of us!!
All the models look like they are well into their second tri-mester. The dresses are not at all flattering. If models can't make them look good, we don't stand a chance. I think the dresses would be more suited to the bride who already has a 'bun in the oven'.
the one on the far left looks like maternity wear.
"making even the thinnest girls look shapeless"
errr... the thinnest girls ARE shapeless!
Empire line is great for anyone with a chest and reasonable arms and ankles as it will hide a wobbly tum, imo :-)

Not all thin girls are shapeless, Jennifer. It's possible to be slim and still have a nice figure.
