Best and worst wedding dresses – part 5

Best5It’s the final installment of our best and worst wedding dresses of the past year and I only have space for one more dress. I feel almost mean not picking them all! This ‘Lollipop’ dress by Catherine Davighi was featured way back in October and it’s still a strong favourite for me.

I love the way the styles are a little mixed up but overall create a great dress. There’s the ‘princess’ element with all that tulle, and the front rise for showing off your shoes, but it’s still got a train. Then there’s the slightly retro look that is going to appeal to women who want a different look but still be a bride in white.

Worst5For the final choice, I’m dedicating this one to reader Emma who nominated Frock Horror 14. Toilet brush holder, I immediately thought, and funnily enough, that’s what I wrote back then too.

There’s just no need for all those ruffles. Without it would have been a nice pleated destination style. With ruffles, it’s a project gone wrong and all designed to look like they’ve made an effort to detach you from £900.
