In the first of a new series, we’ll be looking at the famous brides that have captivated us by their choice of wedding dress over the decades. Sure, there will be some we hate, some we love, some worn by TV characters rather than real women and some we just can’t think why? But rest assured, we’ll have a never ending supply! Kicking off the first installment is a Hollywood icon who married her own real prince – Grace Kelly. The wedding took place in April 1956 and set the trend for big dresses to come back in fashion after the sparesness of materials during the previous decade. Both the silk and lace and the shape of the dress itself have never gone out fashion and it is very demure as befitting a future royal.
