Your own personal Fairy Goth Mother

Fairy_goth_mother_1If you read my recent article about the wedding dress I settled on for my big day you will have noticed the references to my desire for something more ‘Goth’. So how peeved am I that Fairy Goth Mother weren’t around back then? Ok, so I’d probably have had to surgically remove several of my ribs and worn 10" platform shoes to get into a little number like this, but I’d have given it a good shot!

It’s a two piece outfit comprising a fishtail skirt with (optional) bow on the back (£350) and a bone crunching corset with lace and bow at the front (£395). I personally would have gone for the deep red, but you can see the detailing better on the pale pink and the contrast with the black is very striking. Both items are made to order to your own specification.

I love how they’ve finished the look off with a top hat and feathers and long black gloves. It has a real Burlesque feel about it and is guaranteed to get your future husband’s eyes-a-popping! Also the great thing about corsets is they can be worn again after the wedding and they can help hide some of the excesses you may indulge in on your Honeymoon.

You can visit Fairy Goth Mother at Camden Lock  or Spitalfields Markets or by email at [email protected]

I tried this on in ivory and black, it’s stunning! Not what I went for in the end but I would really recommend them. Fantastic service and really friendly – I actually got my bridesmaid’s dresses from them.
