On 14th September 2002 Gwen Stefani, the stunning singer from pop band No Doubt, married Gavin Rossdale, singer from Bush. The ceremony took place in St. Paul’s Church in Covent Garden, London. It was a fairly modest affair, with only a handful of close friends and family invited to the ceremony. The bride arrived a full hour late with her father Dennis, in a 1970’s white Rolls Royce, while the groom waited patiently outside with his sheepdog Winston!
Gwen’s dress was made especially for her by John Galliano for Dior. The white silk gown, which morphed into a gorgeous shade of pink near the bottom of the skirt, and the single shoulder strap overlaid in tulle gave the dress an edgy look. A figure hugging white corset over the gown showed off her petite frame. Completing the look was a long, simple antique white veil sitting perfectly over the trademark Stefani quiff, and a simple posy of flowers with trailing white ribbons.
Following the ceremony the guests were transferred to private club Home Houseby double decker bus. The couple then honeymooned in Capri, before heading to L.A where they repeated their vows privately with only a Catholic priest, and their parents in attendance. If all that wasn’t enough of a celebration, on 28th September No Doubt’s record label boss threw the couple a huge star studded party at his Beverly Hills mansion to say congratulations.
