Another clever take on the traditional wedding cake, this time by Sussex Cake Creations. This ‘Bindi Delight’ cake is made up of pre-cut pieces of wedding cake, individually wrapped in raw silk and adorned with a jewelled bindi. They have been arranged to give the impression of a tiered wedding cake. You can actually have a cake made for underneath, if you still want the ritual of cutting, but otherwise it’s just a ‘faux cake’ purely for aesthetic purposes. I think it’s a great idea which will save you, or your caterers, hours of slicing and wrapping. £7.50 per cake for sponge or £8.50 for fruit.
