Despite the media’s best efforts, this was the only picture ever released of Jennifer Aniston’s wedding to Brad Pitt, on July 29th, 2000. Jennifer is no less an iconic bride for that, though: although we can’t see much of her Lawrence Steele gown, which was studded with hundreds of tiny pearls, it was Jennifer’s famous hair that grabbed everyone’s attention. Slightly unusually, the Friends actress chose to wear her hair loose under a white veil, creating a simple, natural look.
Jennifer also wore Manolo Blahnik suede sandals, and the couple were married under a flower-decked canopy on a private estate in Malibu, California, with the ceremony taking place as the sun went down. Sadly, this was another celebrity marriage that didn’t last, and it’s rumoured that Jennifer burned her wedding gown in a symbolic gesture when the couple divorced in 2005.
