Layered gowns quite often feature horizontal layers from the waist or knee, so this one has done something really different with the dual tier of assymetrical pleats over a layered lower skirt which continues through to a chapel length train. The bodice could have been left plain but it works equally well with scalloped lace on the off the shoulder style and some gentle draping across to the hip.
