Fancy a bit of pre-wedding fictional escapism? Regency romance is all the rage, apparently, and Julia Quinn is one of the genre’s stars.
On the Way to the Wedding is the story of Gregory Bridgerton, a firm believer in true love, who is just biding his time until the right woman comes along. When he does find Ms Right in the rather lovely form of Lucinda Abernathy, it is only to discover that she is about to marry another man. Now – on the way to the wedding – Gregory must figure out how to thwart the nuptials and convince Lucy that she was always meant to be his.
Good luck with that, Gregory.

I have this book (and the rest of her Bridgerton series) and I absolutely love it! The dialogue is very witty and actually made me laugh out loud. Julia Quinn is a fantastic writer.
