Yay or Nay Wednesday

By admin on June 13th, 2007 6 comments

This dramatic dress is another one of those to have widely contrasting textures. The bodice is assymetrically ruched in Dupion silk with a sweatheart neckline and corset style lace up back. The skirt on the other hand is frothy fluted tulle with a chapel length train. I love the jewelled detail on the hip and the net fascinator is a great touch for a very glam look, but as always, what do you think of the dress? Yay or Nay and why?

Last week’s layered dress with the longline bodice got a yay. A single solitary yay maybe, but no one said nay so that makes it a winner. Find style 9717 at Alvina Valenta.

It has similar elements to Liz Hurley’s English wedding dress which isn’t necessarily a bad thing……yay from me!

yay form me too…very elegant and creates a great hour glass shape. The birdcage veil and broach are touches of vintage elegance! ok, have to confess, planning on wearing a dress like this and had cut out this exact picture from a mag to help in my dress hunt.

Yay! Very romantic and contrasting features are so beautifully balanced. Love it.

I love it. I’m wearing something a similar dress by ProNovias. Who makes this because it looks a lot like my dress.

I love it. Very “wow” and different. I agree it’s very Hurley-esque. I think you’d need to be a confident person to carry it off though, with quite dramatic hair and accessories.

I think it’s Maggie Sottero by the way – I don’t normally like their stuff, but this one is great.

Love the vail not so much the dress
