There are some books that look mighty useful for wedding planning and some that are pure entertainment. I’m not sure which category David Boyer’s ‘Bachelor Party Confidential: A Real-Life Peek Behind a Closed-Door Tradition’ falls into. Boyer ‘tempts’ readers with “[it] is the first and only book to go behind closed doors and explore what really goes on at bachelor parties. With first-person accounts from grooms, brides, strippers, Vegas revelers, bachelor party planners, a Born Again best man, a dwarf, an S&M clown, as well as tons of celebrity and historical anecdotes… [it] includes everything you want to know about a tradition that’s been around since 500 BC.
“Bachelor Party Confidential is more than T & A. It includes stories from men around the world and men of different religious, political and cultural backgrounds and it looks at how these factors impact the festivities.”
So, ignoring the bits about strippers and S&M clowns it may be an interesting read… or maybe the former is what will lure you in! You can read excerpts at Indie Bride (not work safe).
