So far I’ve erred towards the safety of the oldies, so this week I’m going out on a limb for a 21st century electronic number. A chilled classic of the future, Destiny is a beauty of a song by Zero 7, and it’s particularly suited to couples who perhaps are parted by circumstance.
From the 2001 album Simple Things, the song features the wonderfully lazy tones of Sia Furler, and the lyrics to the chorus are bound to touch a whole bunch of hearts. Sometimes no matter how far away someone is, you know they’re your destiny, aaaah.
PS, just hope that your Ma doesn’t notice the ‘porn’ reference in the second line, the rest of the song far outweighs the risk!
