Wedding couple defy floods

Anyone in the UK right now knows we are experiencing some of the worst flooding ever as rivers break their banks left, right and centre. Fortunately, being a stoic bunch of Brits, we won’t be held back by the weather when it comes to weddings. Jane Fisher and new husband David were very nearly washed out of their wedding when they not only nearly couldn’t get there, but the vicar had to hitch a lift in a tractor. Not only that but guests were stuck as roads flooded and then their reception venue was cut off!

I thought we had a rough time getting married on the 30th June but this story is amazing. For us, it rained all week, the wet ground under the marquee was soaking through the carpet and a severe weather warning was given for the Saturday. We made sure there were wellies in the marquee and needless to say we got pretty muddy (the train on my dress was coverd in mud) and left wearing our wellies but it didn’t make a difference, we had an amazing time and I’m sure Jane did too! I just think that at least it will be memorable!
