Yay or Nay Wednesday

By admin on July 25th, 2007 8 comments

This has to be one of the most expensive high street wedding dresses out there. It’s price even eclipses some of the specialist bridal stores at close to US$2000. Made from silk, it has a low cut spaghetti-strap top with a deep waistband done up with fabric buttons at the back and a long, volumous, floor-sweeping skirt. What do you think? Is this very basic style worth the money? Yay or nay and why?

Good to see the turquoise blue dress definitely made an impression on you last week and that some of you will be or are certainly considering the colour too. You can get the blue ‘Ragged Rose’ dress from Allison Blake.

Yay from me, i love it. If only i could get married again (to the same man).

Yay from me. I love the elegant simplicity of it. It looks like J.Crew…?

I’m not so sure – it is elegant and simple, but maybe too simple. You need a bit of pizazz on your wedding day!!

Ugh, are you people serious?! It looks like a sack with a bikini top stuck to it!

I have found this image on your site, and I love the dress. I realize it’s an old post, but does anyone know where this dress can be purchased? I can’t seem to locate the designer name, where to buy, any details.

  • Hi Adriane,
It’s a JCrew dress. I’m afraid it’s last season so they may not have them anymore.
For this ‘Yay or Nay’ slot we do a ‘reveal’ the following Wednesday saying where the dress is from hence the lack of info.
