At probably the most glamorous wedding I’ve ever been to, champagne was served on the terrace just as the sun was going down. Every surface was covered with tea lights and they were even dotted around on the floor. Yes, it looked stunning, but long dresses and lighted candles do not make for a relaxing evening. Luckily there were no fires, but it was a constant worry.
If you like the idea, but not the risk of a trip to A&E, these battery tea lights from Cox & Cox are the perfect solution. They’re also wind-proof, of course, so you can just dot them around and leave them to get on with creating a lovely romantic atmosphere. They’re a bit more expensive than tealights, though, at £16 for 12.
