whatsmine.jpgIf you’re a bride who’s concerned with the carbon footprint of your big day, or perhaps just concerned about the mounting costs, how about swapping something for your wedding gear? Started in 2004 by Judy Berger, fashion expert, stylist and personal shopper, Whatsmineisyours is a clothing site with a new concept, you can upload any clothes you don’t wear, then sell or swap with others on the site.

Whatsmineisyours have just added a wedding section to their site, and whilst it’s currently quite thin, I’ve found that the rest of the site has a range of vintage dresses that would be perfect for the alternative bridesmaid, the dress shown is original 1950’s pink and gold brocade dress, but the site’s got a great Vintage buying guide which can help you if you’re trawling the shops too. Get your bargains here, then after your day is over, put them back on the site to give someone else the chance to use them.
