Gifts for the father of the bride who doesn’t fit the stereotype – Sekonda’s pocket watch

By admin on August 15th, 2007 1 comment

watch.jpg With all the gifts being exchanged on and around wedding days, it seems to be the men of the families and parties who are often left out. What’s a bride or groom to do to thank a father if he isn’t a drinker or cigar smoker? Well, seeing all too many of those sorts of gifts I thought of a wonderful keepsake, an engraved pocket watch.

Perfectly classic if the father of the bride or groom is wearing a formal suit to the wedding, or even beautiful as a keepsake, this wonderful timepiece from Sekonda is elegant and, well, timeless! It’s a great price of £39.99 for something that will last a lifetime and put a smile on the faces of gift giver and receiver alike. Get yours from Jewellery Junkies.

I love this idea but there’s a slight snag: my Chinese heritage deems it bad to give watches and clocks as gifts (something along the lines of it announces death or something). I’m just superstitious enough to not want to mess with something like this…yet these pocket watches are so gorgeous (in a manly way of course)!
