Most of us like to think that our chosen wedding venue will be a little bit “special”, but Five-based Activate Group have come up with a venue that’s going to be pretty hard to beat – assuming, of course, that you’re not scared of heights. Their ‘Leap of Faith’ ceremony, you see, takes place in mid-air, with couples climbing a 40 foot pole and then leaping off it, into a new life together.
If all of this sounds a little scary, worry not – participants are securely strapped in to a harness, and a dynamic climbing rope and have a first-rate belay team supporting them on the ground. The structure is located near St. Andrews, offering gorgeous views of the Fife countryside. “We are launching ‘Leap of Faith’ weddings in response to changes in demands,” says Leap of Faith founder, Sean Foley. “Couples are becoming more creative when planning their big day and it seemed logical for us as experts in event organisation to offer something a bit different.”
Well, it’s certainly different, but would you want to get married in mid-air?
