This week my recommendation is not necessarily the most original song, but you know what? If it works, don’t fix it. ‘You do something to me’ is an understated song from Paul Weller’s 1995 album Stanley Road, it’s gentle, sweet and above all a quietly genuine love song which might be perfect for the mod-ish chaps out there too. Check out ‘Wings of speed’ for a gospel-esque heart wrencher of a song at the end of the album which might suit you if you’ve had to be away from each other.
