Hello! I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. Clinging on to the coat tails of all our fab sister sites, we’ve finally interviewed ourselves so we can get to know each other. We’ll start with me, Bridalwave’s editor, Camilla.
Name: Camilla (I’m good at this!)
Writes for: Bridalwave (see, very, very good). I’ve also written for Shiny Shiny, Hippyshopper and Dollymix when I’m not writing for all sorts of other magazines and newspapers.
Sexy singleton, smug married or significant other? Significant Other of many years.
Most embarrassing wedding moment? Flying to a wedding overseas with our young son only to be told on the morning that he wasn’t welcome and therefore I couldn’t go either. Oh, but could they have our places in our car for their other guests? Impressed? Not much.
Your ultimate wedding dress/ designer? If money was no object, I’d probably go for Jim Hjelm. I adore his range.
Idea of wedding hell? Being dressed up in a meringue, like a tulled Humpty Dumpty *shudder*.
Dream celebby husband/civil partner: Ooh, choices, choices! George Clooney is rather dashing.
And now enough about weddings, a bit about you!
What’s your favourite movie? I’m a bit of a sap to be honest, I’ll watch any chick flick or I like a good thriller. If there’s singing and dancing then even better. Right now I’m really impressed with Blood Diamond but I’ll take Room With A View anyday.
Which book did you read last? Tasmina Perry’s Gold Diggers. It’s a big, juicy, completely unrealistic bonkbuster.
Best ever vacation? America. I really love the country even if no one seemed to understand what a veggie burger was (note – it’s not a tomato slice in a bap). My favourite areas are LA and the Grand Canyon. Quite like Vegas too. And Disneyland, let’s not forget Disneyland!
Childhood ambition? To be a writer and guess what! I am! Hurrah! Just got to get that novel out now!
What’s for tea tonight? Mushroom tarts with roasted parsnips. Yum.
If I saw you in the pub, what’s your tipple? A dry white wine, thank you.
Favourite past times? I really enjoy horse riding, though I’m not that good. And doing up my house which was previously inhabited by someone of fairly questionable taste.
Guilty pleasure? Shoes. I’m a sucker for a beautiful pair of shoes.
Keep checking in over this week to meet all our other writers!
