Lost in Music: The First Dance #14

Billy_Joel_-_The_Stranger.jpg A few weeks ago I gave you two for the price of one from Lenny Kravitz, and this week I’ve found another bargain for you. ‘She’s always a woman’ by Billy Joel is from his 1977 album The Stranger. Like the Kravitz ‘Stand by my woman’ it is a song to make the bride feel particularly special, but in the same way as Kravitz, Billy Joel was such a cool guy that you know most men would be happy to let him sing what they’re feeling.

If you want a more balanced approach, go for the slightly more obvious ‘Just the Way You Are’ from the same album which can bring on equal amounts of sighing and crying from your Mum, and make you happy that you are no longer Bridget Jones.

Originality: 7
Tears-from-your-Mum Factor: 9
