Yay or Nay Wednesday

By admin on September 5th, 2007 7 comments

We’ve seen a lot of jewelled additions to dresses and their popularity is certainly on the upturn. From blue jewels to complement the traditional rhyme to jewelled clasps that give sparkle to bodices and those ever present Swarovski crystals gracing everything from the gown to shoes and veils. It seems the jewelled touch is here to stay. The dress for this week’s vote has the jewelled brooch in the centre of a sweetheart neckline with a ruched bodice and a flowing chapel length train. Love it or loathe it, we want your votes! yay or nay and why?

Last week I asked you about metallics. 75% of you said nay to the ‘bacofoil’ look and shy away from shiny styles. You can find this ‘Bianca’ dress by Caroline Parkes.

  • Jessie

Yay – the dress is gorgeous. Is there a close-up picture of the jewel?

  • Meg

Ooh! So purdy! I like that it doesn’t need the massive patterns of sparkles or extras to make it beautiful.

    I LOVE it! Wow!

  • Gem

Oooh, that’s beautiful!! Yay, yay, yay!! x

  • Natalie

Yay! It’s so elegant and romantic.

    That is a beautiful dress.
I also agree about the hairdo – really not flattering since she already has that ‘lollipop-head’ look, even without the huge puff of hair – but the dress is absolutely stunning. The dress itself simple and understated, but that brooch gives it that special something without having to go over the top on lace or ruffles.
