Dior goes for the menswear look for weddings – Paris Fashion Week S/S08

dior-wedding-suit.jpgMenswear on women has been a big look in mainstream fashion this winter, and if the current crop of Spring/Summer shows is anything to go by, it’s a look that will be continuing right through to next Spring. Dior have even applied it to bridalwear, choosing to end their Paris Fashion Week show with this stunning white tailored suit, rather than the traditional wedding gown.

While shorter trousers would have made this outfit a little more appealing (no one wants to trip on their way down the aisle, after all), the white tux is a fairly classic look, albeit not one that too many brides are brave enough to go for. Here, the addition of a sparkly top hat and open-necked shirt adds a bit of glamour – and don’t forget the bright red lipstick!

  • Everybody’s different. Whatever makes a bride feel comfortable is fine with me. If she’s smiling, the day is a good day.

  • Dior for a wedding, what a idea. A beach wedding and Dior fashions will make a big hit.
