Enamel card charms … pretty, but why?

cardcharms.jpgThese card charms are really cute, but I have absolutely no idea what you would use them for. According to Cox & Cox, they would “make memorable keepsakes from a wedding when presented in a small silk purse” which is all well and good, but what for? When you got home from the wedding with your little heart in a silk purse, what would you do with it?

Back to Cox & Cox, “you could use ribbon to tie them around glasses and napkins”. Yes, you could – I particularly like the napkin idea – but would you? All that threading and tying? But that’s not all: “They can also be used to decorate cards, letters, invitations and memory boxes.” Okay, so I guess if you wanted to buy a squillion of them and use them as a decorative theme throughout – from the invitation to the keepsake to the memory box – that could work. But they do cost £6 for 12 so it’s not a cheap option.
