Lots of brides choose to arrive at their wedding ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, but when Trudie Styler married Sting in 1992, Trudie decided to dispense with the carriage altogether and just stick to the horse. With her $40,000 Versace gown trailing almost the ground, she made an iconic bride indeed as she arrived – with her groom – at the 11th century chapel in Wiltshire, England, where the ceremony took place.

Afterwards, the newly-married couple retired, with their 250 guests, to their Elizabethan mansion house, where music was provided by Sting’s band, The Police, who reformed especially for the occasion – awww!
