Greenies get the best of both worlds with weddings at Penrhos Court, a Herefordshire manor farm dating from 1280 on the Welsh borders. An organic wedding breakfast is served in the Medieval Cruck Hall or in the courtyard when the weather is good. And with organic and biodynamic wine and champagne to locally sourced flowers and even waste disposal thought of, Penrhos have all angles covered for couples looking for style and substance.

“We also make a superb dark and white chocolate wedding cake and can help source organic flower petal confetti, hand made paper and candles musicians, photographers, hairdressers and make-up artists,” says host, award-winning author, chef and nutritionist, Daphne Lambert.

Weddings get exclusive use of the venue and guests can pick from 15 bedrooms with views of the surrounding countryside and two apartments all stuffed with organic products from biscuits and cake, tea and coffee to toiletries and towels. There’s even a luxury spa with a variety of pampering treatments if the couple and their guests want to relax the eco-friendly way.
