Santa Barbara was the location for actress Debra Messing’s wedding to screenwriter Daniel Zelman, on December 3, 2000. The bride wore a strapless creation by Vera Wang to the outdoor ceremony, which took place on a private estate, with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, while the groom wore Hugo Boss, and gave his new wife a 100 year old sapphire ring as a wedding present – lucky Debra!

The 150 guests included Debra’s Will and Grace co-stars and the honeymoon took place at Santa Barbara’s Bacara Resort.
