Wedding guest fashion: when you need form and function

By admin on November 1st, 2007 2 comments

decodress.jpgThe last time I went to a wedding, I struggled to find something to wear. I needed something that would work day and night, that I could wear a wrap or jacket with (since it was probably going to be cold) and that would also be comfortable enough that I could run around after my 2-year-old who was a page boy. After trying and rejecting numerous outfits, I finally found a dress by Great Plains. It was easy to wear (if you don’t count the fact that my boobs threatened to fall out of the neckline when I bent down to pick up my son) and I received loads of compliments (for the dress, not the boobs).

So now, Great Plains is my first port of call for all wedding outfits. I love this Deco Dress, £50 and available in blue and brown, and will be snapping it up for the next wedding I’m attending … along with some more supportive undergarments.

  • What’s more, the empire line allows you to enjoy the wedding breakfast and cake without worrying about the line of your dress – definitely a winner in my book!

  • Good point, Caroline. Although that probably also means people will be asking me if I’ve got “another one on the way”. (I haven’t.)
