When I saw the film, Closer, it was the theme music, The Blower’s Daughter by Damien Rice (from his album, O), that blew me away.
That “I can’t take my eyes of you” refrain just killed me (in a good way) and what could be more perfect for a wedding dance, when no-one should be able to take their eyes of you, the bride. It’s rather intense, though, so it’s probably better for a couple who want to dance in their own perfect bubble, rather than beaming out at friends and family.
Also, there’s not much music behind it, so it’s perfect for clutching each other and shuffling, rather than *actually* dancing. (If people ask what “the blower’s daughter” actually means, you’ll have to be enigmatic because I’ve no idea … or you could look it up).
