Art Deco wedding at Morecambe’s Midland Hotel

I’ve been fascinated by the Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Lancashire for a few years now. It’s a beautiful Art Deco hotel with a glamorous history, but, since the late nineties, it’s been abandoned and in a state of disrepair.

In 2003, though, it was bought by Urban Splash who have now returned it to its former glory and it will reopen on the 1st June this year. I’m assured that they already have a lot of weddings booked for the summer and beyond and I can only imagine it will be a beautiful venue with its rooftop suites, external terraces and uninterrupted sea views.

just saw an episode of Poiroit with this hotel in its glory or shall we say, the set up looked emasculate. thought I will take my wife there. Only to hear it being in disrepair. Now that it is a wedding venue, do they hire out rooms as in Hotel Guests? I’d like to know
