These soapstones have been quarried in Agra, India, near the Taj Mahal for centuries apparently. What makes them a lovely wedding favour is the heart shape tooled with the word ‘love’ or the rounded style with ‘joy’ which can be used as paperweights.

Wrap them up in an organza square with a ribbon to make them into pretty gifts and as they’re only £1.50 each they’re not bad on the wallet either! You can find these and more fairtrade products at Fairwind Online.
