Yay or Nay Wednesday – satin sash dress

I don’t know about you, but coloured accents like sashes are still working for me. What’s particularly handy with this style is you can view different coloured detailing on this dress via it’s website (I’ll reveal who it’s by next week). The sash and satin band on the bustline along with the satin strip in the train certainly liven up dresses like this white ballgown and the embroidery ensure that it isn’t a carbon copy of every other sashed dress out there. What do you think to the dress? Yay or Nay?

Last week’s floaty corsage gown was a nay and I quite agree, not sure many could get away with wearing it. Crystal suggests it’s loose look is a good way to start off a few rumours though. The dress is from Amsale.

Nay… looks too much like prom

Nay. The colored sash trend is getting tired. Really it’s just a failed attempt to punch up an already bland dress. One strapless A-line looks just like the next.

Nay… The shape of the dress is dull and the sash does nothing to lift it.

    Yay!
The classic A-line shape has always been a winner, and always will be! It flatters pretty much any shape.
I’m not loving the pink, but in another colour this would be absolutely gorgeous. I think this is actually my favourite of all the dresses I’ve seen here on yay or nay!
