Two new movies are out this week – Nicole Kidman and Jack Black’s ‘Margot at the Wedding’ and Uma Thurman’s The Accidental Husband with film critic Joe Queenan arguing that we should hardly be surprised as films with a wedding theme are generally box office successes – just take a look at My Best Friend’s Wedding or Wedding Crashers.
“Hard as it may seem to believe in this day and age, there is still a substantial part of the adult population that actually enjoys seeing movies where no-one is dismembered or decapitated, or devoured by hungry anacondas,” argus Queenan. I quite agree. The rest of his report is at the BBC here.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7266749.stm
