Black is back – bridesmaid dresses at Saison Blanche

When you’re not tempted by fresh brights that are emerging for Spring/Summer and want to keep your bridesmaids looking cool and sophisticated, black is the way to go. These styles by Saison Blanche show that black certainly doesn’t have to be boring either. On the left, a v neck floor length gown has a contrast trim. On the right, a strapless dress has a shirred, scalloped overlay with a slim contrast ribbon (I may just be hungry here, but I can’t help but think the right dress looks like a rum truffle).

Find both Saison Blanche styles here.

I love black for bridesmaids, and totally support my friends choice of black dresses from BHS. But her Furture mother in law has gone crazy, and said over her dead body would they be black, and has coerced her daughter into pulling out from bridesmaid duties.

Sorry for the rant, but I think beautiful dresses like these prove why fmil is so wrong.

I happened to come across a boutique called L.A. Sugar just off the Carnaby Shopping area. They had some beautiful dresses like this “Magic” dress which you can wear it in many ways – and it costs an amazing £85 each. They have it in beautiful colours such as Champagne, pink, salmon, red, purple and black. I got the one in black so I can wear it to a evening dinner / cocktail event.

My friend got 3 champagne ones for her bridesmaids – for her wedding in June. It’s worth while for those of you to check it out, their phone number is 020 7434 4136

  • Emma – that’s terrible! Your poor friend – FMIL needs to realise it isn’t her wedding.
I vote for sticking with the no doubt gorgeous black dresses she’s already picked out.
