How many 40-something brides-to-be end up arranging most of the wedding? While Brigit Sapstead is content to sort the catering, the venue, she was delighted to hear the news that fiance had fixed the honeymoon…
“It’s just as well I love surprises! But, what on earth am I supposed to pack?”
We all know that plans change. Just as well that it’s a female’s prerogative to change their mind. So, when wedding planner Ali mentioned that she had come across a venue stylist in nearby Glastonbury, Brigit decided to change Wells Museum into an Hawaiian beach scene for the afternoon champagne reception! Themes Incorporated have an Aladdin’s cave of props and goodies to deck out a party.
Having cracked the interior design, Ali then came up with an Aloha band. Fujitive are a group of teenage specialist musicians from Wells Cathedral School – the Brian Mays and Queen stars of the future. They have been performing together since mid 2005 and play a variety of styles ranging from 1920’s to contempary music but specialise in latin and jazz. They are all dedicated musicians based in the South West, but willing to travel anywhere.
Meanwhile, worried that the wedding night doesn’t fit into the strategic planning, stressed bride-to-be has reserved the wondrous Cathedral Suite at the Swan Hotel in Wells. Take a look at these pictures and you will realise why she is taking over wedding night planning!
