If you’re yearning for a genuine vintage dress, you’re in luck with this rare chance to snap up a 1930s Nina Ricci wedding dress. The cream silk halter neck wedding dress was worn at a high society wedding in Paris and is accompanied by photographs of the bride and her husband, thought to have been the Mayor of Paris. Another photo included in the lot is thought to show Nina Ricci herself. The guide price is £200-300.
Other clothing included in The Fashion Wardrobe 1700-1960 sale counts late 18th/early 19th century costume (think Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet). The sale will be held on 7th May in Knowle in the West Midlands but will be exhibited next week at Bonhams in New Bond Street (dates and times after the cut) with more details here.
