Engagement parties French-style with The Cherry Blossom Girl

CherryBlossom.JPGIs there anything our French neighbours can’t do elegantly? Just take a look at blogger and stylist Alix’s intimate engagement party which is a lesson in fabulousness not to mention the pictures of yummy cake. Alix had this to say, “In honour of the occasion, the dining room was filled with flowers, my mother brought out the good china, and my family got to know my boyfriend over cake.

Outside, it was blue skies and sunshine as far as the eye can see; a light that I hope will continue to shine bright for many years to come.” Isn’t that charming? See the pics at The Cherry Blossom Girl here. FĂ©licitations, Alix!

  • Well this girl’s blog is gorgeous, but what I’m really interested in are these lovely little cakes! They look like fluffy edible tennis balls in various colours, and I must have them! Please tell me where to find them, or maybe the recipe. I’m throwing a garden party soon and they’ll go down a storm!

BTW Love the blog guys, keep it Shiny!

Can’t agree more Siobhan! The cakes look gorgeous and I’m dying to have a nibble myself! Try asking Alix herself what type they are or where they’re from and let us know if you ever find out!

I’ve just found out what the little balls are – they are fruit sorbets. Perfect for a garden party!
